Today is it exactly sixty years of the death of discoverer
of Penicillin. Today is a day when an exceptional person left our world. A day which must not to be forgotten - 11th March
– A day when Sir Alexander Fleming died.
I think it is unnecessary to repeat once again about Fleming's
achievement that changed our lives. There's so much, everyone has a story, but
i think everyone knows this one about an accidental discovery. I don't mean the
details, exact facts and dates which are related to Penicillin, but I mean that what we call
a coincidence or more likely a carelessness?
Everyone has an opinion. Everyone
has a different point of view if Fleming was a hero or only his carelessness
caused this amazing discovery. But I think we can all agree on this...Sometimes,
even though we try so hard to be successful in something, we want to show to
others what is in us because of the years of our effort and constant work.
Sometimes
is hard to fulfil our dreams. Alexander Fleming as a bacteriologist had a dream
like everyone else has. He wanted to help others, he wanted to be contributive to medicine's development with his discoveries and without this coincidence, which was caused by a carelessness, would not have been a Penicillin. A
lot of people's lifes would not have been saved, people would have been dying
on banal illnesses and the age would not been lengthened.
I
don't want to say that Penicillin is the best world's drug. I think all of
the drugs are important for us at the same way. Therefore is important
that the coincidence will be embodied in our lives, because without
coincidence, would not be accidental situations :).
And as Alexander
Fleming said: "One sometimes finds what one is not looking for.".
Thank you.
